Questions people ask
Is it really free?
Yes, the full journal is free, no trial, no card, no feature paywalled behind a plan. It stays free because it's part of TradeDadLog, not a startup chasing a subscription.
Is my data private?
Yes. Your trades live in your own account, protected by row-level security, nobody else, including us, can see them. The public scorecard is opt-in and only shares what you choose to show.
Do I need trades already imported to start?
No. The Daily Routine and check-in work with zero data from day one, and "Should I trade today?" reads your recent discipline the moment you have any history at all.
Which brokers or CSV formats work?
Tradovate and TopstepX are auto-detected, TradingView's Strategy Tester export and Tradezella-style exports work too, and a generic parser covers most other CSVs (date, symbol, side, entry, exit, size, pnl). If yours doesn't import cleanly, tell us and we'll add it.
Is this financial advice?
No. This is an educational journaling and analytics tool. It doesn't recommend trades or strategies, it reflects your own data back at you. Trading futures carries real risk of loss.
What happens to my account if I stop using it?
Nothing, your data just sits there waiting. You can export a full backup as JSON anytime, and delete everything permanently from the settings menu if you ever want to.
